Manufacturing Knowledge

Purpose: Book-grounded process-learning layer for manufacturing logic, process tradeoffs, and cross-process DFM or DFA understanding.
Last synthesized: April 2026

What This Section Is For

This section explains the manufacturing reality behind DFM findings. It is not the rules engine itself. It is the plain-language process layer that helps connect a finding such as "rib too thick" or "hole too deep" to the real shop-floor logic, cost tradeoff, or process limitation underneath it.

Current vs Reference

  • Current: process-learning pages for CNC, sheet metal, injection molding, and shared DFM or DFA logic
  • Current: use this section when you want to understand why a rule matters, not just that a rule exists
  • Reference: the live rule bundle and traceability still belong in DFM Research rather than here
