Status: Supporting research Last verified: 2026-07-16 Purpose: Home for the enabling infrastructure work behind CAD handling, CAD runtime control, labeling, and technical knowledge retrieval.
What This Section Is For¶
Infrastructure Research covers the enabling layers that make the product and research tracks practical: CAD SDK and translation choices, live CAD-session control surfaces when a native CAD tool must stay in the loop, training and labeling infrastructure, and the local technical knowledge base used to search engineering material.

- Current: NX live control is now part of the infrastructure story, because RapidDraft drawing review and generation in NX require a real in-session control surface rather than only headless file translation
- Current: this section is an enabling layer, not a standalone product surface
- Reference: deeper architecture notes matter mainly when DFM, RapidDraft, or Autonomous CAE implementation needs them
