Leads

Leads are the action-facing records for people and labs. They exist to help a work package move into qualification, outreach, or follow-through without turning the wiki into a directory.

Action Layer Versus Coverage Layer

Layer Use It When Primary Page
Action people the next move is contact qualification, outreach prep, or conversation support People Index
Action labs you need a capability container rather than an individual Labs Index
Coverage register completeness, deduplication, or long-tail recovery matters more than immediate action Professor and Lead Coverage Register

Hard Rules

  • Do not let institutions become the main navigation spine.
  • Do not create lead pages with no links from work packages or opportunities.
  • Keep institutions thin.
  • Keep people practical: only create standalone pages when they help action, qualification, or CRM work.
  • Treat the full professor register as a coverage artifact, not a co-equal front door.

Open Questions

  • Should the first leads layer be created manually, or later generated from frontmatter and tables?
  • Should institution pages live here or be deferred until the first real cross-links exist?
