CAD Intelligence overall score: 84 / 100

The score moves from 83 to 84 because the DraftLint/RapidDraft drawing-analysis path is better grounded. DraftLint upstream added inspection-characteristics report structure and zone-resolution changes, while the RapidDraft-facing adapter added gateway/LiteLLM integration, validation trace jobs, detector discovery, and capped OCR behavior. The bounded-edit score only moves slightly because measure/edit work clarified feasibility but did not ship a production endpoint or accepted edit workflow.

Current posture

CAD Intelligence owns manufacturability and geometry reasoning: process-aware review preparation, geometry evidence extraction, Part Facts, DFM rule execution, benchmark discipline, drawing-model operations, and the longer path toward topology-linked remediation and bounded edits.

Current evidence comes from RapidDraft app repos, DraftLint source and adapter repos, CVAT/YOLO operations, and central CAD Intelligence handovers/plans.

2026-06-18 - DraftLint adapter and CAD utility audit refresh

DraftLint is now better represented as two work streams:

  • upstream DraftLint source: inspection-characteristics report schema and zone-resolution changes
  • RapidDraft adapter: gateway/LiteLLM integration, trace jobs, smoke-test surface, detector discovery, and capped OCR behavior

Exact measurement should ship first as a read-only CAD utility using viewer selections plus OCCT worker calls. CAD edit should remain candidate-based: create candidate STEP, validate with OCCT, regenerate preview/scene, show it, and only then accept as a new version.

2026-05-15 - Hosted CAD runtime split

app.rapiddraft.ai remains the public mixed OCCT+FreeCAD runtime. app.rapiddraft.io is the OCCT-only testing surface. Do not describe the public app as no-FreeCAD until the testing branch is validated and explicitly promoted.

  1. Add end-to-end drawing-to-QA eval coverage for DraftLint inspection characteristics.
  2. Run live two-person CAD Drive validation before sending broader links.
  3. Patch only share-blocking collaboration issues first.
  4. Add durable backend activity and realtime delivery.
  5. Ship exact measurement as the first low-risk CAD utility.
  6. Return to topology-linked localization and first bounded edit class after collaboration stabilizes.
