Summary

TextCAD is building an AI-first engineering workspace where conversation is the control surface, deterministic engineering systems remain the source of truth, and native CAD/CAE tools remain the authoring authorities.

The near-term product line is RapidDraft. The longer-term platform expression is RapidDraft Studio.

Current week focus, 2026-04-29: share CAD Drive collaboration inside RapidDraft Core with a few trusted people. The goal is a simple CAD collaboration loop: open/upload a model, share access, leave pinned comments, upload a new version, and capture feedback.

Current operating bet

  • use a chat-first orchestration surface for engineers
  • keep typed tools, deterministic checks, and evidence as the real execution backbone
  • rely on native tools when geometry fidelity or authoring authority requires them
  • grow from review companion into a full engineering workstation without losing trust
  • prove the lightweight CAD Drive collaboration wedge before broadening external outreach
